About our East Midlands Mediation Services
Some issues are not disputes in the argumentative sense, they just require a negotiated solution to provide a new arrangement contract or relationship; be it personal or business. The sheer pace of our lives can sometimes get in the way of making changes to an existing arrangement or situation. Both parties may have already agreed in principal that change is necessary, but have just not got down to the detail.

Our Mediation meetings can be informal or formal - strictly business or business and pleasure. The desired outcome is to part friends with a new arrangement or contract agreed by both parties without unpleasantness. Awayday Negotiations are The Perfect Answer to this requirement.
The basic premise is that all parties have agreed to attend voluntarily without undue influence or pressure. Each party is listened to by the Mediator without judgement and in confidence so that they can put their understanding of where the dispute or disagreement stands now and how they would like it to change.
Any settlement reached will be determined by the participants themselves with Mediator guidance using established rules for progress introduced and controlled by the Mediator. Mediation is not a process of forcing compromise onto one or other party. Its purpose is to help and guide the parties to examine the issues and to determine an outcome for themselves.
