• Sometimes the parties don't meet face to face and the mediator moves between different rooms (shuttle mediation)
• The mediator is impartial, which means ( does not take sides)
• The Mediator helps and guides both parties, towards a mutual settlement
• The Mediator will examine different potential solutions for the parties to consider
• The Mediator may suggest ways forward but never try to impose them.
• The mediator may give information about law but cannot give legal advice
